PHOTOGRAPHY: Gorgeously Goofy Dog Portraits by Elke Vogelsang

Every now and then an artist or photographer manages not just to capture the beauty of an animal, but to bring to life their character through an image. First we we couldn’t get enough of Sophie Gamand’s ‘Wet Dog’ series, and now we’re a bit obsessed with these astoundingly expressive shots as taken by German photographer Elke Vogelsang.

When she isn’t taking portraits of people, she’s turning the lens on her three rescue dogs – Loli, Scout and Noodle. Her amazing pictures of their magnificent mushes have now gone viral, and with good reason – Vogelsang has a knack for capturing a little piece of mutt magic.  Snapping her canine companions as they fool around in front of the camera – the results are charming, humorous and completely heartwarming.
